Panacea
Imperial American Pale
Ale.
Floral, citrus, peppery in
the nose. Hops to the face in taste. As the hops recede you notice an
underlying sweet malt flavor that is quickly covered back up by the hops in the
after taste. This beer finishes dry with just enough lingering hops to make you
thirsty. The mouth feel is creamy. Light
brown in color with a very think head that looks a lot like sea spray.
I would like to thin this
beer out a little to reduce the amount of creaminess in the mouth. A lighter consistency might lend itself to a
more refreshing beer. Maybe I will try
the same hop schedule with less malt, aim for a 5% beer instead of 8.5%.
