Irish Stout/ Whiskey Stout
Dark black beer. Smells like
it tastes. Roasted and toasted with a punch of flavor that mellows as it
crosses the tongue.
For the whiskey stout we
bottled on top of 1/3 cup of Irish whiskey
I think the next time we make
this I want to add a vanilla bead and a few squares of unsweetened cocoa. The
beer is good but it doesn't really stand on its own. We need to liven it up a little.
For the Whiskey Stout I think
a lot more Jameson needs to be used. 1/3 cup to 2.5 gallons of beer didn't make
a difference. A pint would though I
think.
